The aim of BRACE is to bring people together to discuss and explore what response we could have to the climate emergency which is upon us all. Now meeting at the Cross Keys on the 2nd Wednesday and the 4th Thursday of each month at 7pm as well as on line through WhatsApp groups and through Facebook; the group aims to provide practical solutions led by focus groups from the body of participants.

What is Canasta?

• OBJECTIVE: The objective of the game is to form as many melds as possible. A meld consists of three of more cards of the same rank, and jokers can be used as wild cards to help form melds.
• NUMBER OF PLAYERS: 4 players
• NUMBER OF CARDS: Double 52-card decks plus four jokers (108 cards in total) / Speciality Canasta Deck
• RANK OF CARDS: Joker, 2, A, K, Q, J,10,9,8,7,6,5,4 (highest to lowest)
• TYPE OF GAME: Rummy

Arts Connection is a participatory arts charity based in Llanfyllin, Mid Wales. They work in North Powys, Wrexham and the border communities. They are revenue funded by the Arts Council of Wales and have provided high-quality participatory arts projects in a wide range of artistic media since 1994. Their work with schools, children, youth, the learning disabled and the wider community offers increased involvement and participation and a welcoming bilingual doorway into the arts.
